What a day!!

It has been quite the day...and we are very tired...I forgot to tell all of you that we are 1hr behind home...which means that we have to try and adjust to a different schedule....and if you ask me has been extremely hard...Yes, even harder then flying to London or Russia....For some reason it has been hard...for everyone..
Anyway, Marianne and I decided to go to Walmart this morning to pick up some stuff for the work day on Monday. We googled the directions and after Mrs,Lindsey saw the map she said it looks good you girls shouldn't get lost....HA!!! After, following the directions and an hour later we didn't get anywhere we needed to be. We went over the mountain through the half dried river...(for real) we ended up back at square one....so after talking it over with Marianne we decided to go the one we saw on our way into the Lindseys....Which was another 45 min away....About half way into our trip we saw a sign for the town we where supposed to be in...So we headed that way..it was a nerve wracking drive and poor Marianne couldn't stomach half the ride....It took her along time to settle down...at one point I thought I was going to need to get her a brown paper bag!
When we finally got to the festival we listened to bluegrass made homemade lemonade and got to meet some SUPER great people!! The people down here are super friendly...but the thing is none of them are originally from Kentucky...my question to you is where are they? That's ok...we are hearing enough "ye'alls" to last us a life time..but they mean it in the most friendly way....
At the festival they had competitions and congrats go out to:
Jared for taking 2nd in Banjo
Rebekah for taking 2nd in guitar
Timothy for taking 1st in Dobro (which was the cutest thing to watch!!)
Caleb for taking 2nd in mandolin.
They also participated in the band competition and placed 5th...But everyone was ok with that...it was really late before they announced the winners and we wanted to get home....
Marianne and I also met this 17 year old boy from Tennessee who was very friendly and was very disappointed when Marianne told him that she was 23 and he wasn't marriage material.. It didn't seem to stop him...I believe he has a crush on her and will continue to communicate with her....will see...we got a really good laugh out of it!! What fun..
tomorrow the Lindsey's have to sing twice...Once in the morning and another time in the evening...we are hoping to rest in the afternoon since we have been going going going and all the little kids and adults alike are starting to drag just a wee bit...and we get really giggly.... which is a sight to behold!!
That about sums up our day.....Hope you are all staying together while we are traveling...Love Ya,
The 3 wandering women...
