Ok so the pictures I promised..well, I walked out of the house without the camera, so no pictures. Sorry.
We are very glad that we are here, despite the fact it is very cold. All well, the first day of Spring is still a week away.
Anyway, Ted and I left home around 3:30pm and pulled into Bloomington, Illionise at 6:06 am. It was a long drive but we made excellent time. It helps that we don't tend to stop. We stopped for dinner, then gas, and the last time was to wake ourselves up cause it was getting late/early. We originally thought we wouldn't get in till like 8am this morning, but besides the fact they are one hour behind us and there wasn't any traffic helped our timing immensely.
After we got here we checked in and caught about a hour of sleep before breakfast and set up. It was so nice catching up with our Generation of Virtue friends, and getting to go to a different convention; other then NYS LEAH Convention back at home. It took a huge portion of the day to set up the booth and get all the books, sign, tshirts, jewelry etc...set up, but we "Got-R-Done". When we finished we went to a cool restaurant for dinner. Not before having a police escort there. Sara's GPS wasn't or isn't working in this city for some reason wasn't sure where the restaurant was, and there just so happened to be a cop following us. (( = They asked him for directions and he gave them, but then he just said, "follow me", and away we went. It was very funny!
When dinner was done most of us went back to the hotel. While Katherine and I had to go to Kinkos and Walmart.
Then we finally, made it back to the hotel. I immediately put my pj's on and chilled in bed. While, Ted was on the phone and watching the SU game. Which turned out to be an awesome game...GO SU!!
So that about sums up day one....kind of..(( = Will see what's in store for today.
I was told that it would be easier to set up a blog then sending out e-mails when I travel...now you have to do all the work to keep track of me! But the most exciting thing is you can see what I am up to when I am home, too....Its a win-win as long as I remember to up-date it...happy reading!
